Cured in Place Pipe Lining (CIPP)

Cured in Place Pipe Lining (CIPP) is a trenchless method used to rehabilitate existing pipelines without the need for extensive excavation.  It’s very cost effective.

CIPP involves inserting a flexible lining material, typically a resin-saturated felt tube, into the damaged or deteriorated pipe. Once in place, the lining is inflated and cured, often using heat or ultraviolet light.

(see our Ultraviolet LED Cured-in-Place-Pipe Lining page for more details)

How CIPP Works

As the lining material hardens and forms a new, durable pipe within the existing one, it effectively seals leaks, reinforces structural integrity, and extends the lifespan of the pipeline. CIPP is commonly used in sewer and stormwater pipe rehabilitation, as well as in other applications where traditional excavation and replacement would be more disruptive and costly.

With access to the most up to date technology available on the market and an extensive understanding of the mechanical properties of the materials that we utilise, Exjet can offer a design service that provides for a 50 year design life for all installed liners.
