Commercial Drainage Services

how can we help?

Exjet has worked on drains and sewers across the South West since 1986. We undertake large-scale and long-term work for Tier 1 contractors, local authorities, housing providers and developers, on sites where planning, access and coordination matter as much as the work itself.

Our engineers are directly employed, not subcontracted, which is why standards hold from one job to the next. We survey to MSCC standard, issue written reports and recommendations, and work to RAMS on every site. From a single condition survey through to a multi-phase adoption or civils package, you get one point of contact and a clear account of what was found and what we did.

Who We Work With

Around half of what we do never involves a homeowner. Our regular clients include:

  • Housing associations and registered providers — reactive callouts across dispersed stock, planned drainage maintenance programmes, and condition surveys to support asset management and stock condition data.
  • Local authorities — highway drainage, gully and interceptor cleansing, culvert inspection, and drainage on council-owned property and open space.
  • Tier 1 and principal contractors — drainage packages on live construction sites, temporary works, diversions, and pre-handover CCTV surveys.
  • Housebuilders and developerssewer adoption surveys for S104, S102, S38 and S278, as-built records, and remedial work to bring systems to adoptable standard.
  • Facilities management and commercial property — scheduled maintenance across multi-site portfolios, grease and fat management, and out-of-hours response.
  • Industrial and agricultural sites — interceptors, wash-down drainage, tankering and confined space entry.

Client names to be added — subject to contract publicity clauses.

Accreditation & Compliance

Most of our commercial clients have to satisfy themselves we are compliant before they can appoint us. We hold the accreditations that procurement and pre-qualification teams look for:

  • Constructionline Gold
  • SSIP / SMAS Worksafe
  • CHAS
  • SafeContractor
  • ISO 9001 quality management, ISO 14001 environmental management and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety
  • Trading Standards Approved, and members of the FSB

Our engineers hold CSCS cards, NRSWA street works qualifications and confined space entry training, and we provide our own traffic management where the work requires it. Full details are on our certifications and awards page, and current certificates and insurance schedules are available on request for PQQs and tender submissions.

How We Work

Directly employed engineers. We do not subcontract our drainage work. The crew on your site are Exjet staff, trained to our standards and known to our supervisors.

Surveys you can actually use. CCTV surveys are coded to MSCC standard and issued with digital footage, a written report and clear recommendations — in a format that stands up when it goes to a water authority, an insurer or a client’s asset team.

Documented and safe. Written RAMS for every job, permits where required, and full compliance with current environmental regulations on waste and discharge.

One point of contact. From first survey through to completion, you deal with the same people. No handovers, no chasing.

24 hours a day, every day. Reactive cover across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset from our Paignton depot, alongside planned programmes scheduled around your operations.
